Yahoo!: Rainbow Waffles: Easy At-Home Instructions

I am fully aware that variety is the spice of life, but don't come knocking at my door with this so called easy rainbow waffle recipe. After reading the instructions I came to the conclusion that there was nothing really simple and easy about it. There is only a lot more work and money involved.

First of all, you have to get lots of different food coloring to create the rainbow effect, which means a higher grocery bill. Second, you have to divide the batter in six different bowls and add a different food color to each. That means five extra bowls and five extra spoons to clean. Yeah, like I have got nothing else to do!

Third, there is the effort and pressure to pour each batter in the waffle iron without turning the first ring of the rainbow into a scorched mess. In the mean time, you also have to keep in mind not to create a rainbow of your own by mixing up the colors. That sounds like stress-city to me.

I am afraid my loved ones will be chasing rainbows if they ever decide they want me to fix them rainbow waffles. Unless they want a 'taste' of the rainbow!
