USATODAY: 1M powerless after storm slams Northeast

Snow storms, earthquakes and tsunamis are all over the map. When Mother Nature unleashes her fury there is really not much you can do, but duck, cover and hope it will not be as bad as it is forecasted.

Snow storms can and are predicted, but the rest usually comes out of the blue. The disaster hits when it is least expected and the devastation lasts for years to come. Cleaning up the rubble will take a major, combined effort and is a time and money consuming endeavor.

After a little while, the government usually bails out and leaves the clean up to others. It is practically the same situation as with the health care bill; you know it will hit and there is nothing you can do, but sit back, let it happen and take it.

Millions are powerless!
