MSNBC: U.S. poverty rate jumps to highest level since 1994

I suppose you have heard the expression; 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy', but what if there is no work and the only option or possibility left for some sort of an income is play? That would explains why all the reality shows are so popular and have no lack of contestants.

The winner(s) of these shows walk away with an outrageous amount of money; CBS: "Big Brother's" Hayden on $500k Win, and that is nothing compared to what the winner of other shows walks away with.

If you want, you can compete all year around going from one reality show to another, if you are elected, of course. With 'Big Brother' having come to an end, the next one already aired that same night: CBS: "Survivor: Nicaragua", while 'The Amazing Race' is about to start soon.

In the mean time MSNBC: 'America's Got Talent' crowns a new winner and MSNBC: 'Idol' opens new auditions on MySpace. You can try those as well to have a shot at fortune and fame.

Keep in mind though that it is not all without risk: CBS: "Amazing Race" Contestant Smacked In Face With Watermelon, but I suspect the prize you could win outweighs the price you could pay, huh?

You may even end up with a job, like one of the survival contestants Colby Donaldson who is now hosting the game show 'Top Shot'. Which brings me to the following speculation: CNN: 'Survivor': Probst's final year? Hmm, do I detect a possible job opening up?

Well, if you got talent, you may be able beating your big brother in becoming the next American idol who wins the amazing race for the hosting job of survivor.

Providing you survive the competition!
