CBS: GM to Recall 1.3M Cars for Steering Fix

Mistakes can happen, but it is made quite obvious that the auto industry needs to get its priorities straight and get back on track. Potential buyers are starting to become very apprehensive about buying a new car.

This is already number two in a very short period of time. It makes me wonder who is next to recall their vehicles and for what; BMW for a leaking water pump? Maybe it will be Volvo for dangerous electric wiring or Porsche for forgetting a couple of nuts and bolts to secure the engine.

Let's hope this is just a glitch and will be over soon. Both GM and Toyota have launched some really good cars in the past and several are reaping the benefits at present, like many satisfied Toyota Corolla owners. It is good to know those are still around to fall back on.

Not all pre-owned vehicles may be in good condition and it would be wise to have experts at hand in case some repairs come up. For those living in or near Chicago auto repair shops and mechanics can easily be found online. Others may not be so fortunate in locating a good auto repair shop.

Maybe we have seen the end of all the recalls and the auto industry will stop spinning their wheels and focus on making ours spin safely again!
