ABC: Sandbags to Try to Block Oil Blobs in Louisiana

I sure hope it will help keeping the oil of the beaches and seeping in to the bayous. Once the oil washes ashore, as it is expected to do along the entire Gulf coast, then a major clean-up is in order.

I heard it could take up to two years before all the oil would be removed and it would take at least ten years before the ecosystem would be restored. That is a huge blow for many people in the fishing industry, tourism and other related businesses.

If you had plans for a getaway along the Gulf of Mexico, then you don't have to cancel it. Simply go; when the oil soiled the beaches see how and where you can help. It would be highly appreciated, but it would definitely be needed.

I am sorry to hear BP still has not been able to put a lid on the oil leak. Maybe they can shove a huge sandbag in it?!
