CBS: Anti-Virus Program Causes PC Reboot Mayhem

I couldn't help it, but when I read this yesterday I was a little amused and the thought crossed my mind that a bug must have found its way in to the McAfee software. Immediately after that I felt sorry for all those who had to deal with a never ending rebooting computer.

I suspect it is a bug which needs fixing, but just in case it would be a virus then the question arises: how do you install an anti virus program to fix an anti virus program? Besides, even if it is a bug then how do you get the update installed when your PC keeps restarting?

At least there seems to be a fix: CNET: How to fix your McAfee-crippled computer, but from what I read it is labor-intensive and must be applied manually to each computer. If your PC is affected then it may be good to check out the step by step solutions which are giving.

Oh, I forgot; you may not have access to many programs, if any at all, due to McAfee messing up the works. Wouldn't it be nice being able to give McAfee the (re)boot?!
