CBS: In Social Settings, Being Older is Being Wiser

I guess I should take at least some comfort and delight in that knowledge, but I am fully aware that there are many exceptions to the rule. Nope, I am not fooling myself and I royally admit that I placed myself in the 'exceptional' category.

That sounds ambiguous, doesn't it? It was meant to be, but you will figure it out. I certainly hope the following will be figured out soon as well: CBS: Do Anti-Aging Products Really Work? What a shame if we spend all that money on products that don't make any difference at all.

On the other hand, if we all maintain our youthful looks then who would take us for serious? Staying in line with 'the older, the wiser' concept; no one in our present society would listen to the elderly unless they would wear a sticker stating their age. That would defeat the purpose though.

The New York Times: Mind: Seeking Emotional Clues Without Facial Cues. That is pretty much what it would come down to. How else would one know that a person qualifies as being old enough to be wise enough?

If being older means being wiser then the only way of knowing is by appearances. We use anti-aging products to hide our 'decay' and look younger. However, we take offense when we are treated as being ignorant.

Ehhh..., that is mind boggling. I could use some wisdom here!
