ABC: Ear Relief: Congress Acts to Stifle Loud TV Ads

It is music to my ears that they are finally going to do something to turn down the volume of those ads; that will be so much easier on the ears.

I really think it will have a much greater impact then anyone suspects at the moment. The volume of those TV ads tends to be so loud it is practically shattering your eardrums.

That does not benefit someone's hearing by any means and as a consequence, many people may have to resort to hearing aids, because it is literally deafening.

I know from experience, that after a block of those noisy commercials, it takes me several minutes to be able to hear again what is said on the show or movie we were watching.

Yeah, those loud TV ads prod you to turn up the volume in order to catch what is being said after the ads are aired. That turns out to be a vicious cycle and very costly to health insurance companies and whatever else have ya.

It seems like Congress may be aware of that fact too; CBS: Congress Lowers Volume on Blaring Commercials and by lowering the volume, is also lowering the costs of health care.

I sincerely hope it is not too late. After listening to all those blaring commercials...

It may fall on deaf ears!
