MSNBC: Boy, 6, takes family van, crashes into pickup
We may not always know what is at the core of our children's actions or what on earth they were thinking, but this one made it pretty clear; his growling little tummy and how to make it stop.
It did come to a screeching halt, unfortunately not the way he had intended. Even though he was smart enough to bring money and head in to the right direction, he forgot one thing; he didn't have a driver's license.
He certainly is not the first and the only one; our not even three year old grandson pulled the same stunt. He never got off the driveway though, because the house got in his way.
Neither he nor the house suffered any damage, but his grandma's van carried the scars of the little, short-lived joyride. No, we never found out why he did what he did, but whatever you do: hide the car keys.
Just don't forget where you hid them!
