ABC: Little Girl Swallows 37 Magnets

The other day, I read how many teenagers are posting a video on YouTube asking the audience to give their opinion on whether they thought the featured person was ugly, or pretty. It seems more likely to me that those teenagers were asking for trouble, instead of an answer to their question.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what is pretty to one, has no appeal whatsoever to another. Therefore, they can only expect to get mixed reactions and they are exposing themselves to some harsh, hurtful comments, which are not helpful at all. On the contrary; it may only lower their already poor self-esteem.

Besides, attractive features may be gentle on the eyes, but it is only skin deep and will fade over time. Real beauty comes from the inside, will only increase over time, and always shows through. Armed with that knowledge, those teenagers should pose the question if they want to be ugly or pretty to the person in the mirror.

What has all that got to do with the little girl who swallowed all those magnets? Everything, because I suspect she knows real beauty comes from the inside and since she is too you to understand the meaning of that, she took it literally.

With so many magnets in her little tummy, she was bound to be attractive from the inside out!
