CBS: Should Americans Be Forced to Get Health Coverage?
It would be okay forcing people to get health coverage as long as they are willing to pay it for them. How else will all those uninsured Americans be able to get coverage? They probably already would have insured themselves long ago if they could afford it.
It is so much easier said then done. It is not like we are Michael Jackson's kids: CBS: Jackson's Mom, Kids Gets $86K a Month, then there would be no problem at all coming up with the monthly amount. Most people are barely scraping by and are glad being able to make it through the month.
Planting a dollar bill in your yard is not working. Believe me; no matter how much you fertilize and water it, it simply refuses to grow. I am still looking for that particular place where the money grows on trees. I have not found it yet. Maybe everyone beat me to it and the trees were picked bare already?
Then I come across this tip: CNNMoney: Trade in your old iPod for cash. Hah, you can do that only once, unless you happen to have multiple iPods. I think that is a trick to keep people from developing hearing problems, so they will not need any health coverage.
So far, I think they better come up with something feasable, because forcing people to get health coverage is neither an option, nor a solution.
Just the thought of it makes me sick!
