NEWSWEEK: Poetry Readership at 16-year Low; Is Verse Dying?

Hopefully, it is a loose threat
And we may find, that verse is not dead.
All it takes, is a little time,
To find some words to put in rhyme.

Elaborate words are not required.
Simplicity is often more admired.
Maybe more eloquent language,
May cause the readership to switch.

This is merely a consideration.
A brain-fart of my imagination.
A different way of expression,
That nothing escapes this recession.

To poetry we can adhere
To assure, it will not disappear.
Let's take the opportunity
And turn words in to an Odyssey!
