The Washington Post: Brown upsets Coakley in Massachusetts race

Well, I guess that should have been taken in account by the Democrats when Coakley was entering this election game. It is not a win-win situation by default and one should never underestimate one's opponent.

Taking their victory for granted sure knocked the Dems out of their socks: The New York Times: G.O.P. Senate Victory Stuns Democrats. They have to march to a different beat, now that their race has come to a screeching halt.

Maybe we should say that it knocked them for a loop, because they will find a loophole somewhere. They are probably already in the process of doing so: FOX NEWS: After Loss, Dems Rethink Plan.

Someone had a bright idea though: CNN: Ticker: Slow down, Dem tells his party. True enough; a stand-still does not get them anywhere. It is better to move forward, even if it is slowly, then not to move at all. Maybe they will as soon as the effect of the 'stun gun' wears off.

As far as this headline goes: CNN: Analysis: Win a game-changer; the Democrats were not aware of it, but they already were in the possession of one: Martha Coakley.

After this loss she may not be able to bear the humiliation and the blame: CNN: Democrats point fingers after stunning Senate race loss. She might go undercover and turn in to a name-changer.
