Law and Order: SVU has some disturbed writers!
Guest Post by Abel Rojas
I watch this show every day, and just when you think you've seen it all, they introduce yet another episode that will have you wondering, exactly who comes up with this kind of stuff? Law and Order: SVU stands for "Special Victims Unit". This team of detectives focuses only on the special victims cases, usually involving some sort of rape or other disturbing crime.
But the latest episode of this show even had me cringing during some scenes. A woman was found in an alleyway with no clothing at all and she was barely breathing. A homeless man stumbled across her, and he reported it to police who then came to investigate the area. The evidence all pointed to one man, who had recently been released from prison after completing his 4 year sentence.
But this is where it started to get pretty weird. It turned out that the man had just begun his rampage, and he had several other victims stashed around the city, holding them as prisoners. He claimed that he even had a woman that was a detective being held against her will, and that he would only release her if he was given a plea bargain.
I do not want to completely ruin the surprise of the episode, in case readers would like to see it for themselves so I will not say anything further. But I do recommend this series to any fan of crime or drama shows. It will not leave you disappointed. I just moved in and this show keeps me from stressing out too much about this. The first I thing I did was search for cable tv satellite service providers and voila!
