ABC: Health Care Survey: Employers May Cut Plans

It is not so much a suspicion that they 'may', it is more a matter of when they will. When they do, you can rest assured that you will not be better of. On the contrary; it may turn out you find yourself between a rock and a hard place.

The worst scenario is that they cut the plan without informing you and you find out after the fact, when being served with an exorbitant amount of out of pocket costs.

"Hey, what happened here"?
"Oh, we switched over to a cheaper plan".
"Since when"?
"It changed sometime last month. We though you knew".
"NO, I didn't know and no one bothered to tell me".
"Well, you know now".

You better go over the new plan with a fine-tooth comb. Don't be surprised when your co-pays and medication costs are a lot higher and you end up with less coverage then before.

Do you still wonder why this economy is making people sick???
