Fox News: 'Unrelenting' Heat Wave Hits 17 States

Yeah, the heat is on and there is no escaping it either. Even though you may find yourself sitting comfortably in the cool air produced by the cooling system of your abode, there is bound to come a time when you have to come out of hiding and step out.

Be prepared; the heat will hit you like a ton of bricks and by the time you plowed yourself a couple of yards through that wall of hot air, you will know all about the expression 'sweating like a pig'.

It would be a different story if you broke out in a cold sweat; at least that would bring some relief, but don't count on it. Even if you get cold feet, they are likely to heat up in no time.

Here is a thought; we could go in hybernation. However, since that is not a real option there is nothing else to do, but sweat it out!
