CNN: Clown thieves steal phony jewels
I guess that is what happens when you are clowning around and don't pay much attention to what you are doing; things can go terribly wrong. Anyway, you get the jest of it.
They did too, after they found out the jewels were fake and the joke was on them. Even a fool should know by now that crime just doesn't pay, but there are always exceptions to the rules.
It is quite clever though, replacing the real jewels with imitations. Someone was clearly one step ahead of anyone with ill intentions in mind and took precautions. It sure paid off and the owners had the last laugh.
It may be a good example for other jewelry stores and it could well result in having many followers. If that is the case, then no one has to worry about being the victim of a robbery.
On the contrary; the robbers would be the laughing stock of the entire neighborhood and since we all could stand a good laugh:
Send in the clowns!
