CNN: Visualizing wellness for 2012
This post brought to you by Cafe Well. All opinions are 100% mine.
We can all dream, wish, and even visualize how well and healthy we would and could be in this coming year, but that doesn't cut the mustard; we have to actually get off that couch or chair and take steps towards turning that visualization into a reality.
I am normally not very keen on starting an exercise routine, because it is boring and the only support group is I, me, and myself. The corporate wellness program called Race to the Moon however, which is hosted by Cafe Well and sponsored by HealthAmerica, is a great way of getting active, well, and even be rewarded for it.
Members of HealthAmerica are eligible for the Race to the Moon program, but anyone can sign up as a member of Cafe Well and take advantage of all the health information; it only costs but a few keystrokes.
A free wireless pedometer will track each step and rewards you for reaching milestones. Participating in this fun, challenging program can also result in winning one of the prizes which are available, but the greatest prize of all is a better health and greater well being.
Cafe Well will also provide you with answers, advice, tips, hints, and connects you with others when it comes to any health related topic or lifestyle.
Maybe we ought to create our own fun challenge. How about setting a daily calorie goal and sticking to it for this year? I have no doubt many would find themselves in a much better shape and health by the end of this year!
