CBS: Web paves the way for strong shopping season

That is another not so big surprise, because all I have to do is look at myself. Since I am no exception to the rule, I can safely assume there are many more with the same apprehension, objections, and dread, against running from store to store during this time of year.

I can take no pleasure in elbowing my way through the crowd, walking until my feet hurt, and constantly being presented with the fact that the desired item is sold out. There are a gazillion other responsibilities to which I can apply and dedicate my time and energy.

One of them is sitting comfortably, high and dry, behind my computer and browsing the Internet for gifts. While sipping my coffee I come across the same (if not better) deals as I would have gotten in the stores with one huge exception.

I don't have to do anything else but order. Delivery takes place right on my doorstep and all that is left doing is wrapping it up and placing it strategically under the Christmas tree.

That beats the 'snail-mall' as I call it and I can not begin to tell you how grateful I am for this Internet shopping option. There is one drawback though. The budget is gone much faster then when I had to scour the mall!
