Debt Consolidation for Credit Card Issuers
When I read this headline on the CNN website yesterday: Credit card issuers fight for profit; the first thought that crossed my mind was why all of a sudden this was turned in to such a big deal by the media? I suppose because now it concerns the credit card companies, instead of all those people who are up to their eye balls in credit card debt.
I don't mean to be facetious, but it may not be such a bad idea for the credit card issuers to get the short end of the stick for once; as a consequence it might end up to be beneficial for their clients. Those issuers will experience first hand what it means being unable to make payments and loose more money. They may have to consult debt consolidation companies themselves.
You often don't realize what people are going through, unless you are being put in the same situation. It could well be that this is what is needed for the credit card issuers to cut their clients some slack. Not that I wish for this to happen; the situation is already bad enough as it is. It may be however that after having gone through debt consolidation, they can sympathize, empathize and muster up some appreciation for their credit card users.
Maybe they finally can give credit where credit is due!
