MSNBC: Report: N. Korea calls for direct talks with U.S.

This headline called attention to itself, simply because the entire situation sounded a little weird to me.

I can hardly imagine that in this age of Technology they stood outside the door and called out for direct talks with the U.S. It got through though, so I suspect their by word of mouth network was up and running.

I don't think that is the most reliable source of communication. Someone should call them on the carpet and point out to them that there are devices called telephones and computers to establish direct communications.

It is not that difficult to place a call and talk directly to the United States. All they had to do is dial the right numbers in front of the U.S phone number and they would have a direct line.

They probably managed to do that, but had not figured out yet that as soon as they got connected they were already talking to the States directly.

Ring, ring, ring:

"Hello?"
"Ello. Want to talk to United States."
"How may I direct your call?"
"I just tell you; to United States."
"This is the United States. How may I direct your call?"
"I already tell you! I want direct talks with United States!"
"Sir, you are already talking directly to the United States!"
"Huh? Oh."

I guess that was a wake-up call, huh?!
