MSNBC: Sarah Palin to Levi: Stop by for Thanksgiving!
That is mighty nice of Sarah Palin. It seems like she is talking turkey, although I am not so sure how to take that. By the same token Levi may find himself in a turkey shoot upon his arrival at the Palin residence.
She may have meant for him to literally stop by, wave and then move on. We all know the political strategies by now:
Levi: "Hey, you said to stop by."
Sarah: "Yup, but I never mentioned you could come in!"
Maybe we ought to define the phrase 'to stop by', so we are all on the same page here. That is a trick we learned from Bill Clinton.
On the other hand, she may have meant for him to come on in. Levi should not get his hopes up too much; Sarah has a bone to pick with him and the visit could turn in to a disaster. It comes down to the fact that we don't really know what she has got cooking and will dish out.
Nah, Levi better not count on a warm welcome. Then again, maybe he should. It could be a very warm welcome. So warm, that it might get too hot under his feet.
It would not be the first time!
