CNET: Report: Google moving away from Windows

I agree that you don't have to spend all your time in front of windows, but turning away entirely is not wise either. It does not hurt at all checking every now and then and staying informed of what is new and what is happening. Information is power, you know.

It is more then power; it is also extremely helpful when someone else is wondering what route to go. Sharing the information could point someone in the right direction. If Google doesn't know however what went on while they were not watching then we ought to be quaking in our boots.

Oh wait, that already has happened: ABC: Woman Sues Google Over Walking Directions. There you have it! Google turned away from the windows and gave false and unsafe directions. Now they are even warning people: "Hey, watch out. Our walking directions could turn out to be dangerous"!

Somehow, I can not shake the impression that Google's credibility just went out of the windows!
