CBS: Tourists, Scientists Delight at Rare Solar Eclipse

I don't think it even crossed their minds, but they may not have experienced a rare, natural occurrence at all; they may have witnessed the reflection of the halo headlights of a car, being blocked by another obstacle.

The brightness of those headlights is so extraordinary; they turn night in to day and can be seen from afar. They would illuminate the sky without any problem and could easily be mistaken for our daily light source; the sun.

Since more drivers discover the benefits of halo headlights, we shouldn't be surprised if reports of 'rare solar eclipses' will increase. I suspect everyone will find out that all they have been admiring were halo headlights.

Yeah, eventually they too will see the light!
