FOX NEWS: All-Nighter: Man Tries to Stay Awake 40 Days

It sure seems like he is about to succeed, because the interview took place two days shy from reaching the goal. Apparently, the man is not loosing any sleep over putting himself to sleep.

That may sound exaggerated, but it certainly is not; the human body can only survive for a short period of time when subjected to sleep deprivation, before it starts shutting itself down.

The guy must belong to a tribe of super humans, but at least he won't be grouchy; he hasn't gotten up on the wrong side of the bed for a while.

I can not even begin to imagine how difficult it must be to have to worry every waking moment how not to drift off to sleep. Why someone would even want to put himself through this is beyond me.

It is a living nightmare!
