CNN: Students fail history, does it matter?

History is made every day and I can imagine it is hard keeping up with it. If you ad to that all the history which has already occurred over the course of hundreds of years, you need to have a super computer chip implanted in your head, in order to remember all those dates, names and occurrences.

Besides, it is all old news anyway and has come to pass long ago. Therefore, to answer the question if it matters that students fail history; I don't think so. The main thing would be if they, and that includes us as well, have learned anything from the past. Ehhhh, I am afraid the answer to that is negative as well. If we had learned anything, then ...

History would not repeat itself!
