ABC: Popular Pain Pills Boost Risk of Heart Death

I guess we all have heard the expression 'no pain, no gain' at some point, but who wants pain? No need to answer; that was a rhetorical question. We all know the answer already. A better question would be how to get rid of it asap and the Pharmaceutical industry provides the answer with all kinds of pain relievers.

What and where is the gain in all that though? Let's see; our gain by taking a pain pill is that we get relief from what ails us. In addition, we also gain a greater risk of heart disease and an earlier confrontation with the Grim Reaper.

Not taking any pain medication is heart healthy and promotes longevity, but means being debilitated and limited by constant pain in our daily activities. Consequently, that results in a lost day (or several) of our lives as well. The best way is to have no pain at all at any time.

That is wishful thinking though. It ain't gonna happen and after having contemplated on the above, I can only conclude that the expression 'no pain, no gain' is true after all.

For the Pharmaceutical industry!
