CNN: Wal-Mart U.S. sales 'disappoint'

It could be that being established as one of the leading supermarkets may have led to the impression that they didn't have to advertise as much anymore. That would be rather foolish though, because people tend to easily forget and need a reminder every now and then.

Maybe Wal-Mart ought to focus more on Online Marketing, since the Internet has taken such a huge flight. Almost every household nowadays possesses a computer with Internet access which opens up the option to reach many more potential customers.

I have a slight suspicion the competition has already taken advantage of all the options Online Marketing presents. It could have resulted in them being one step ahead which increased both their clientele and their profits.

Wal-Mart shouldn't wait too long and revise their Online Marketing strategies. It sure wouldn't hurt and may ward off another disappointment. My suggestion would be not to wait too long; otherwise they may find themselves being on roll back!
