Yahoo!: One-Of-A-Kind Drugstore

It doesn't happen often that you come across a one-of-a-kind drugstore which also offers helps, supports and serves our military service men and women, families, retirees and many others by offering prescription savings.

Walgreens used to be one of them, but was recently cut out by Express Scripts, Inc. to provide those services any longer. As of January 1, 2012, the partnership between Walgreens and Express Scripts ended due to Express Scripts, Inc.'s refusal to accept any proposals from and cut out Walgreens pharmacies from their in-network.

Express Scripts, Inc. functions as a middleman between pharmacies providing health care services, employers and health plans who pay for the medication and is also the pharmacy benefit manager for Tricare; an in-network insurance coverage for prescriptions for customers including U.S. military personnel.

No wonder this is upsetting the apple cart of those falling victim to Express Scripts' actions; they have to find another pharmacy, travel more and hope to find the same great service again which Walgreens provided.

Walgreens however is not letting that happen and is still helping, supporting, and serving the troops and those others who are affected by offering special discounts on an annual membership for the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens.

We definitely want to keep these one-of-a-kind drugstores and pharmacies around!
