ABC: Obama Kicks Off College Tour

We all lead by example and the example we set before our offspring often determines our future, because they are the future. One of those students is very likely going to end up as the leader of our nation several years from now and we all like for him/her to make sound decisions and do what is best.

Impressing on our youngsters the importance of taking care of their health will most certainly benefit them and not just at present, but also later in life. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and the sooner they learn that, the better off they will be.

It is said that the president has succeeded at beating smoking. I sure hope he did, because smoking can cause really serious health problems in the long run and will not only increase the risk for ending up with lung cancer, but COPD, heart disease, and stroke as well.

Addressing that issue could prod many to overcome this addiction. It sure isn't going to be a piece of cake, but a good support group and lots of encouragement and help will make it easier to succeed and reach the goal. Ask the president; he should know all about it!
