CBS: Dog bites porcupine, pays the price
What was that dog thinking? Oh, wait; it wasn't. It was just all on pins and needles to sink its teeth into the porcupine, giving it a piece of its mind. The porcupine on the other hand didn't bother about how best to give the dog a piece of its mind, but decided to liberally distribute its pins and needles instead.
The canine ended up looking like a porcupine itself and its owner didn't have to wonder or look for the proverbial needle in a haystack as to why his best friend was yelping so loud; the evidence was as plain as the nose on its face. He may not even have recognized his dog at first and thought he came across a new breed; a dogupine.
A trip to the veterinarian was in order to remove the hundreds of quills the dog ended up with and although it paid the price for its 'courageous' behavior, so did its owner; speaking from experience, the vet's bills are not really cheap these days.
Even though it was hard and bitter, I hope the dog learned its lesson and knows better then to stick its nose into other animals' business.
Poor thing, but what can I say? It's a dog's life!
