Yahoo!: Michelle Obama Calls Herself a "Single Mother" During Interview

It is just incredible what all you miss out on when you neglect keeping up with the media for a couple of days. If I was running a tabloid and wanted to catch the attention of a large audience, I would probably make a lot of ruckus about and around Michelle's quip.

I can see the headlines now. They would be catch phrases like: "Trouble in White House Paradise", or "Presidential couple on the brink of break up"? It may seem far-fetched, but I honestly don't think that many wives would let their spouse get away scot-free after stating what the president did.

It doesn't come as a surprise to me that CNN: Obama sorry for 'best-looking' remark. Michelle most likely raised Cain after hearing it and wanted to know what her husband was thinking when he said what he did. That's a good question, to which the answer may be that he wasn't.

I wonder how Obama wiggled his way out of that one. My guess is that he blamed it on the fact that he either misread the autocue or that it came out entirely opposite as to what he intended. Either way, it seems to me that Michelle didn't buy it and retaliated by supposedly 'flubbing up' at the interview.

We will not hear many more of those remarks from the leader of our nation, at least not if he is smart enough to take the hint.

Forewarned is forearmed!
