CNN: Zuckerberg's big idea

It is great having an Internet connection and catching up on what all is going on in the rest of the world. We are constantly flabbergasted, finding out about new stuff, actions, occurrences, and rumors. It must be real, since they can't put anything on the World Wide Web that isn't true. We all know that.

It so turns out that not everyone does. There are around 5 billion people who are not familiar with or have no access to the Internet and Zuckerberg came up with the brilliant idea to bring it to them. I have no clue how that is going to work out.

How do you connect those indigenous tribes in the middle of the Amazon rainforest without power and where is the nearest 'hotspot' in the Sahara? Running electricity to those places is going to cost an arm and a leg and who will foot the bill? Good luck with that.

Many are already getting enthusiastic thinking of potentially having 5 billion more friend requests. Give me a break. Just because you receive a request to be your friend doesn't necessarily mean they are your friend.

Most people can't even keep up with the few true friends they have, let alone several hundreds or thousands more. Let's work on that first before we subject others to the friends and foes on the Internet.

Sometimes, ignorance is bliss!
