ABC: 5 Things I Learned When I Quit Facebook
The first thing would be an epiphany: wow, dude. There is a whole new world out there!
That realization could be overwhelming. There is so much going on in that world. Here are just a few random headlines that grabbed my attention this morning.
ABC: What to Do — and Not Do — With a Windfall.
You may want to cross that bridge when it happens. Otherwise, it would be a waste of time breaking your head over that. The likelihood of a windfall landing in your lap is slim to none.
CNN: Prehistoric jackpot found in cave.
I wonder what the jackpot was in prehistoric times. Maybe it was a day of not having to gather food? How about a free hide or a wheel? Either way, I am quite confident the odds of a windfall were much higher in those days.
CBS: Zoo builds above-ground trails that allow animals to roam more freely.
That sounds pretty cool, but I suspect they will have second thoughts when they come up a few zebras and wildebeests short.
CBS: Are wages finally ready to soar?
Sure, when are they not? The main question should be though: are prices going to soar along with them?
CBS: Take a ride on America's best roller coasters.
Sometimes, the ride goes so fast it makes your head spin, but is over before you know it. There are also times when the ride comes to a screeching halt. Being stuck at such a height makes your head spin and you can only hope it will be over before you know it.
Fox News: Bizarre beach trend hits the shoreline.
It is called a facekini. I am highly surprised those are tolerated, while hoodies and other face-obscuring items are not. Call me blond, but except for the fluorescent colors I don't see the difference.
Fox News: Hillary Clinton criticizes Obama foreign policy, says failure to act in Syria created 'vacuum' for militants.
Why is that more important than the failure to act in the Benghazi attack? I don't get it.
Oh well, like I mentioned before: call me blond!
