CNN: Should we dump the $100 bill?
Well, if they decide to dump it, I sure would like to know where that dump is. I wouldn't mind making a dash for the cash, because a hundred years from now those bills could be worth a nice chunk of change.
All joking aside, the question remains whether to dump that particular bill or keep it. I wonder why that would even crossed their minds. It is still in use and being used rather frequently. I think it would be safe to assume that it changes hands on a daily basis.
Okay, nowadays that may not be the case for the vast majority of the people and maybe that is why the question arose. That is no good reason to take it out of circulation and retire it though.
I suspect when this comes into reality, that bill is probably looking at a much better retirement plan than most of us.
It might be a lucrative investment at present gathering up as many $100 bills as you can. We may eventually get more out of it then we put in.
The retirement of the $100 bill could turn out to be another government program like 'cash for clunkers'. They would come up with a more appropriate slogan of course. How about; cashing in on Benjamin.
That would be right on the money!
