CBS: More misery to come for snow-buried Alaskan town

If you expect life to be fair then you will be sorely disappointed. Where you may be working yourself to oblivion, trying to get ahead and hoping that one day you will finally strike it rich, others don't even have to lift a finger to get one windfall after another.

The latter happened to this Alaskan town; we had hoped to get some snow here this year, but unfortunately we didn't; they got it all and even more then they bargained for and can handle. In this case, I wouldn't want to be in their (snow) shoes, but maybe they can make a buck or two by shipping some of it this way.

Getting some snow in our area never came to fruition and creating snow-angels and making snowmen turned out to be another pipe-dream, at least for another year. Yes, our weather forecast looked promising a couple of times and the hopes were up high.

It makes me wonder who got snowed here!
