CBS: A skeptical Congress begins grilling Obama's team on Syria
I am not sure whether I am the only one or not who has noticed that one thing is said, but the other thing is done. That has not occurred once, but on several occasions and it is getting old.
It is almost like dealing with an obstinate child in its terrible twos or a rebellious teenager. No matter how often you tell them 'no' and even explain why what they are about to do wouldn't be a good idea, they do it anyway.
They don't care how their actions will affect others and don't even have a notion of how it might turn the world upside down. Maybe they do, but they just refuse to think about it; they want what they want and they want it now.
You can pretty much bank on them doing the opposite of what is recommended. There is one consolation though; we can put the little ones in time-out and ground the teens. But where does that leave us in this case?
Maybe we ought to resort to reversed psychology, but we are not the ones in charge and our advice would probably result in the contrary. For now, we have to sit back and let others do the grilling. Do you want it rare or medium?
I prefer it well done!
