Fox News: Why you need a $45 lightbulb

I don't know why I would need to spend so much money on a light bulb. I tried to shed some light on why they would want us to and read the article. I found out that it is not a simple bulb, but a rechargeable one which will even function as a handheld flashlight.

I began to see the light, but still, $45 bucks buys us lots of light bulbs and batteries for our flashlight. The latter ones are rechargeable too. The expensive bulb may last for several hours, but without power to recharge them, they too will eventually go out like a light.

In light of what I read, I don't see a real benefit in it, unless it is to make light work of our wallets.
