ABC: Kardashian Reportedly Names Daughter North West

It is always an exciting event to welcome a bundle of joy into this world, but I have my doubts this bundle will be full of joy during her lifetime. I can already anticipate the first question she may have to deal with; "Hey North West, where are South and East?"

On the other hand, she may become rather popular and could receive many invitations to all kinds of day and hiking trips. After all, no one is in danger of getting lost with her in their midst, because she always points to the north.

The couple probably already had a suspicion something like the above might occur and therefore decided to shorten North to Nori, according to one media source. I don't quite understand what the difference is where speech is concerned.

Both North as well as Nori seem equally as short to me. The latter may be easier to write, but the intent has gone south there. It would totally defeat the purpose since it lengthens the name from one to two syllables.

It seems to me the couple had a hard time agreeing on a name and was as far apart as the north is from the west. Instead of playing both ends against the middle, they chose to find common ground and meet in the middle.

I am not sure where that leaves the baby. Hopefully not in the middle of nowhere!
